Rules for the use of cookies and related technologies on the Kup4Kola website
Last updated:
This Cookie Policy sets out the rules for storing information on, and accessing information already stored on, the User's end device by means of cookies and related technologies, in connection with the provision of services by electronic means within the kup4kola.pl website (hereinafter: the 'Service'). The core legal framework governing the use of cookies is provided by Articles 399 and 400 of the Polish Act of 12 July 2024 – Electronic Communications Law (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej, Dz.U. 2024, item 1221). To the extent that the information stored on, or obtained from, the User's device would constitute personal data, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR) shall also apply.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on the User's end device (computer, tablet, smartphone) intended for use with websites. They usually contain the name of the website from which they originate, the period of their storage on the end device, and a unique identifier. For the purposes of this Policy, the term 'cookies' shall also cover similar technologies, in particular the local storage and session storage mechanisms of the internet browser.
2. Our approach to User data
The Service Operator deliberately limits the use of device-storage technologies to the minimum strictly necessary for the correct operation of the Service. The Service does not use cookies for analytical, advertising, profiling or tracking purposes. We do not collect, store or process any data that would allow the User to be identified by means of browser-based technologies. The only piece of information stored on the User's device is the language preference selected while using the Service.
3. What information do we store?
The Service uses a single entry in the local storage mechanism of the User's internet browser. Details are set out in the table below.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Storage period |
|---|---|---|---|
locale | Local storage (not an HTTP cookie in the strict sense) | To remember the language version of the Service selected by the User (Polish, English or German) in order to ensure that content is correctly displayed on subsequent visits. | Indefinite – until the User deletes the data themselves or clears the data of their browser. |
The entry above does not contain any personal data, User identifiers, activity or location data, or any other information that would allow, directly or indirectly, the identification of a natural person.
4. Legal basis
The storage of the information described above is carried out on the basis of Article 399(3)(2) of the Polish Act of 12 July 2024 – Electronic Communications Law (Dz.U. 2024, item 1221), under which the storing of information, or gaining access to information already stored, on the end user's terminal equipment is permitted without that user's consent, provided that it is strictly necessary for the provision of an electronic communications service or an information society service expressly requested by the user. Pursuant to Article 400 of that Act, personal-data-protection rules apply accordingly where the user's consent is required. To the extent that the stored information could be regarded as personal data, the basis for processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – the legitimate interest of the Controller consisting in ensuring the correct operation of the Service in the language version selected by the User.
5. Third-party cookies
The Service does not directly use third-party cookies, including cookies for analytical purposes (e.g. Google Analytics), advertising or marketing. Certain sub-pages of the Service may contain embedded content (for example a Google Maps map or videos from external providers) which may independently set their own cookies. The use of such cookies is governed by the privacy policies of the respective providers.
6. Managing settings and removing data
The User may delete the stored language preference at any time by clearing the site data (local storage) in the settings of their browser. Removing the entry will cause the Service to be displayed in the default language on the next visit. Most internet browsers also allow the storage of site data to be blocked entirely. Detailed instructions are available in the documentation of the browser in use:
In most browsers this option can be found under 'Privacy and security' → 'Cookies and other site data'.
7. User rights
To the extent that the information stored by the Service would be considered personal data within the meaning of the GDPR, the User is entitled to the following rights:
- the right of access to personal data (Article 15 GDPR);
- the right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR);
- the right to erasure ('right to be forgotten') (Article 17 GDPR);
- the right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR);
- the right to object to processing (Article 21 GDPR);
- the right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR);
- the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland (Article 77 GDPR).
8. Data Controller
The Controller of the Service, and of any data that may be processed in connection with use of the Service, is:
- Controller
- Sonne sp. z o.o.
- Registered office
- ul. Narutowicza 64
97-300 Piotrków Trybunalski - Contact email

Any amendment shall be published on this page together with an updated date of last modification. Users are advised to review the content of this Policy periodically.
